Warranty Work

The only problem and it may or may not be a problem is that when you go to another dealer, they may work on the customers’ tractors that were bought there first. A lot of dealers do it that way, but there are also some that don't.

And yet I don't have a clue why that would be. Every dealer, no matter who or where is going to bill JD for all labor and parts in relation to that warranty repair from the same labor and parts cost tables just like they would bill you if if was a non waranty situation. So, as I understand how things work, my conclusions would be as follows:

1) That they make the same amount of profit off of the repair regardless of warranty issue or no.

2) That they might see the oportunity/benifit of gaining a new repeat customer that would return again for other business and maybe even buy the next machine from them.

The difference is that the original selling dealer made profit offa the sale.. If you go to another dealer.. you can still get support.. but he didn't make anything off ya.. etc.

Still.. if you start buying your expendables at the new dealer.. and other misc items.. you may become a 'valued' customer anyway.. etc.
