I called my dealer yesterday and considered trading my 2004Hydro 4210 with 193 hours for a new 3038 E but my salesman told me that the 4210 was more tractor than the 3038E. He said that it weighed 900 pounds less and that the 3038 is cheaper made. Less metal less machine. I looked up the specs and the 3038 is less weight. I use my 4210 for boxblade work, loader work around the house and tilling my garden. I just wanted something a little more powerful but want the weight when pulling dirt with the box on it. I also noticed that the max gpm on the hydraulics is 3 gpm less on the 3038. The salesman also said the loader would be weaker. Anyone with a 3038 can you tell me how you like it and it's capabilities. Thanks

A 3038E (E is for entry level ;)) is a good but basic tractor I don't think you would like it near as much as your own. Why would you wan't to trade in a 200 hr tractor?

I just want more hp. I will reconsider and maybe even think about another brand. I want to look at some used one's maybe New Holland or Kubota. I would like a 38-40 HP range and really like the new Kubota hydro trans. and also like the New Holland hydro with the dual range selector that is at your finger tips. I also wouldd like the bigger tires -vs- the small indust. on my 4210.

Your dealer is correct....you can not really compare a deluxe tractor like
the 4210, to a basic model like the 3038. Same for Kubota...the L3400
is worlds away from the L3240.

The Kubota HST+ is a great hydrostat, which has a 2-speed hydraulic
motor like NH HSTs. If traction is an issue, you must get AG tires. Also,
the 12.4-24 rears are way bigger than the 11.2-24s commonly available
on CUTs this size.

Is your CUT an eHydro? The latest eHydros also have a 2-speed HST
hyd motor, I believe.

Look at a 4320 then for more power and it is about 40 pto hp. Should be about a 50% increase in power and weight. This is big enough and powerful enough to get something done. For something with more power but same physical size and weight, the 4520 is 50 pto hp. Both of these offer three range e hydro, you should try one of these out.

Where did you get your cab for your 110TLB?

I'm planning to buy a cab.- But I've only looked at the Sims so far.

When ordering my 110 I had the dealer sign up with Laurin and purchased it with the tractor. I installed it but it was included in the package financing. I am thinking about $7500 with backhoe section included. I am well satisfied with it, it has been great living in the mountains with cold and windy conditions.

Laurin inc.

Thanks for the link & info!

Wish I would have ordered mine with a cab.- I done some research last night, and I like the laurin much better than Sims.
