Warning rant..lol
But wanted to let people know to watch the labels in stores. Wal Mart in particular because of their policys.
I went in and was excited to see that they brought back the 50 lb dog food. (it had been shrunk to 44.....)
And thate 50 lbs was 10 pound free extra.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
So i bougth two bags.
got home and saw they chatger me 18 and change. but the shelf price that I had been paying was 16 and change.Ok honest mistakes but want to let them know so as to fix it.
I called the local stores number on the slip. 54 rings and then silence.
I re-called this time 41 rings and some takes my call. They directed me to pets. I was on hold for 12,5 minutes
then they said sorry who were you holding for I said pets, she said please hold.
I waited another 6 minutes and someone came on. The woman wentr and checked the price and said yep itw wrong. Bring in the slip and they would fix it.:thumbsup: Great dive back 30 miles one way.
Anyways I told her i was more concerned with other people getting over charged. And they thanked me.Next day it was still the same. This has hapened many times with many items. They simply dont fix them..:thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown:

They get the business because, many times, they are the only choice left!

I feel your pain. Seems like my blood pressure starts rising as soon as I walk through the doors of my local China Mart anymore...

However, here's where you get justice by going up the food chain -- right to the top. With so few people nowadays sending a company an actual SNAIL MAIL complaint, you're bound to get some action:

Walmart Home Office
702 SW 8th Street
Bentonville, Arkansas

I did this about six months ago with an unsatisfactory product and a disagreement with my local store manager, describing what happened and what I expected in compensation (a refund and something else to keep me a happy customer), and the home office mailed me a replacement product free of charge AND included a $50 gift card.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Oh, and you can mention in your letter that you're thinking of making a YouTube video about what happened to see if it will go viral...

Question: Do they have item pricing where you live? Here in Michigan almost all merchandise in stores was required to have a price sticker on every can, package, etc until the a**hole governer here repealed the item pricing law saying doing that would lower prices for the merchandise and permit stores to assign more employees for customer service. I for one was bitterly opposed to the change because when scanners overcharged me 95% of the time they were in favor of the store. Used to be if a scanner charged you $1.05 for an item with a $1.00 price sticker you could get a refund of the 5 cent overcharge PLUS 10 times the overcharge up to a maximum meaning a 55 cent refund. And now with no price stickers on anything, how can you tell when you are being overcharged? Prices have not gone down anywhere, and there are no more employees to staff the stores than there were before. The only reason the governor here pushed for ending item pricing was to give his business owning cronies another way to fatten their bottom line.

I am sure pricing errors happen EVERYWHERE and EVERYDAY and EVERYTIME the customer gets s****ed over big time.

Harbor Freight is one of the worst on overpricing. I usually am able to tell by looking at the prices on the receipt if I have been over charged.

My mom is the best at this. She remembers the price on everything down to the last penny...and will remind the store if the try to pull a fast one.

Perhaps it's time to stop going there.
Why reward them for poor service or products with your $.
I would rather spend a bit more but feel good about the transaction.
It’s kind of like going to a restaurant and getting poor food and/or service. Why would you keep going back?

After twisting a pto shaft and looking in TSC sales book found what I was looking for . Drove 50 miles to store and walkiig to rear of store the manager asked if he could help so told him what I was after. We went to the area where they were kept and the slot was empty. but at the bottom of shelf was the shaft I was looking for. The book stated around 250.00 and the located shaft by part # would of been the same except in area where shaft cost 150.00 He carried the shaft to check out and stated the price the girl memtioned it was 250.00 He said no he had quoted 150. and this is the price. Even pointing out I was willing to pay correct price. he told me better to have lost money than a customer.
I keep returning to store for my supplies.

Kyle, while I envy your mother for having such a keen memory, when I have a cart full of groceries, maybe 100 items total, how does one possibly recall whether the bottle of grape juice is on sale for $1.89 or if the loaf of wheat bread is $2.09, ESPECIALLY when there is NO PRICE STICKER ATTACHED ?

If the scanner rings up the juice for $2.39 or the bread for $2.59, how do you possibly prove your claim that the scanner overcharged you and the price rung up by the register is wrong? THAT is the main issue I have about the ending of item pricing. You basically have ZERO proof you are being overcharged, unless the item in question is shown in the weekly sales insert the store issues. The stores KNOW they can overcharge and get away with it, and they do.

I try to buy more local when I can, but in many cases (in many areas), there are few or no other choices! :(
