Water Jet / other? Cutting Co Saught

I am looking for that company that would rather get repeat business then try to retire off you on every job. In other words, inexpensive.

I seem to have 2-4 jobs of 2-4 parts each I need cut each month, sometimes more, sometimes less. I draw in AutoCAD and can save in any years flavor. If you cut parts contact me and I will send a couple of drawings for pricing. If you know a good place that is inexpensive I would love the referal.

It is usually .250" to .500" thick stuff, small and not real complicated. I will entertain other methods of precision cutting as well.

My guy is good and the price is barter and cheap as all get out but I must wait till he has time and I need stuff much faster.

I am sure you have thought of this...but if you guy does quality work, have you asked him to treat you as a regular "paying" customer that wants quick turn completion, and you are willing to pay fairly for it?

Perhaps I misread your post...but if you barter (I am picturing trading chickens or the like) is he taking currency customers ahead of you because of your payment arrangement?

I know a guy that works at a laser cutting company but they are in canada so that may complicate things and turn around times with the border may not be so great?

My guy owns a VERY succesful company. They only have a water jet machine to cut parts for there services, they do not have a water jet company per say, they just own one. Barter is my plumbing services and I have begged for invoices to no avail. He is just busy me thinks.

Canada will eat me alive in shipping fees.

I did a search this morning and found a new place right here in town. HA! I wrote them, I await a reply.

Years ago when I was searching I found a HUGE price difference in waterjet companies. Some want HUGE money for the simplest of parts, others w/ minimums, and others that want you to send them material, or they ask, who is supplying material, to wit I kinda just move on. I mean if your in the business you need to have stock on hand of the basics. I have seen these types usually hide there costs in charging huge for material. . .

It is what it is. If I find it cheap I can do it, if it is expensive I can't. If I were wealthy I would buy close no matter the price, I am not.
