I think that the JD 755 uses the same 3T75 engine as my 1602D. Does anyone know if I could just use a 755 water pump on my 1602?
I don't like having to change the antifreeze ratio for summer and winter use, its just asking for me to make a mistake.

Can't say for sure but they look different to me. Yanmar Tractor Parts: WATER PUMP _ http://www.wengers.com/Parts/ImageDisplay.ashx?i=P0045363&itemclasscode=AH The 2nd one is from Wengers with john deere part #EPC200687/R

That's interesting. On my 1602D, it looks like a water pump, but I'm sure I've read it was a thermosyphon setup. I just assumed it was a cowl designed for the thermosyphon setup, with a shaft and bearing up front for the fan pulley. I didn't want to pull it apart, in case I damaged the gasket....

Does anybody know for sure, without me pulling mine apart?

It may be like my 1510 in that it has a pump but does not have a thermostat.
