Water pumps for sprayer? (internal bypass)

Does anyone know what the advantages are of having an internal bypass valve on a sprayer pump?

Yes. with a sprayer if the pressure builds up in the pump while the sprayer is not being used the excess fluid build-up will be used to aggitate the sprayer tank by dumping it back in the tank!

Doesn't it also help allow you to regulate your pressure, ie: the more you turn the valve to bypass the less pressure on your hose???
