Joe,

I originally assumed that Smart Tech was the manufacturer but you had a good point about Parker/Racor given that Smart Tech's web site includes a link to Parker/Racor.

I wrote Roger Patch at Smart Tech and here is what he had to say when I asked about the relationship between Smart Tech and Parker/Racor.

Racor asked Smart Tech to manufacture fuel filter funnels for them under their private label and to their specifications. Roger is the owner of Smart Tech. The original inventor was Dick Walker back in 1984.

Roger designed and built the F1 and the new F-15 pictured in the attachment to this posting.

Thanks Mike, that clears it up. Lake and Air still has the best price I could find, and I have the large one on order. Sure hope this helps all on the board here that have been wanting one and didn't want to pay the high price and high shipping charges.

The non-conductive variety appears to be carried by Home Depot. 
I stopped into my local HD and could not find them. I checked the sections of the store where they have the outdoor power equipment as well as where the gasoline containers were. They had plenty of the standard funnels, but no Mr. Funnel.

Home Depot was listed on the Mr. Funnel web site as a dealer Indiana. There were no dealers listed for Pennsylvania. I hope I can come up with one here although I don't know why one Home Depot store would not carry an item carried by Home Depot's in another state.

In regards to the new F-15 model, the attachment I posted earlier came to me via an e-mail from Smart Tech. I agree that this model is not listed at the Mr. Funnel web site.

The items carried in a particular store are determined by the store manager. I find that happens a lot around here.. one store carries the item and the other doesn't. It all revolves around sales. If there are not sufficient number of sales of the item in a 6 month period, then it is removed by a "clearance sale". Last month, I purchased 2 rolls of 48" x 300' landscape fabric at a Lowe's store for $19.99 each. They originally sold for $44.99 each. They were marked "closeout" and now they are back in the store as regular merchandise. There is no way to understand what determines policy in some of the stores......
