Waterfall & more rock walls

This is the patio we are getting to lay flagstone on. We have been building the rock wall here. Actually, Marion has done most of this one save the larger rocks.

The pond is discernable in the back of photo as pile of rocks!! You may notice midway up, a large rock laying flat with some valleys in it. This is the rock that the water flows over from retaining pond on top, to the bottom. So far, has worked way past our expectations, save for the water that drips UNDER the rock (yet over the liner). I tried yesterday to stem the flow and greatly reduced it but fear we will just have to live with it.

Of course, WAY in the background, you will see my MEGA back scratcher aperatus!! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

(bit of bragging here...)
You will notice this original post was posted mid July. I had just gotten the pictures back from developing. Our wedding was August 18 roughly 4 weeks later.

I just got back some pictures of patio and though this is taken AFTER the 18th of August, this is what we accomplished in that 4 week span (not mentioning laying marble floors in foyer, painting, hanging 3 doors and a couple of other odds & ends)

This is the pond/waterfall in action of the day of August 18. We had maybe 20 oil lamps starting in front of the house, going up driveway and around patio, surrounding the pond. I can't tell you what a wonderful atmosphere they gave.
