We got nearly two inches here in Mid-Missery. It was coming down pretty hard Sunday morning, and my gutters were full of locust leaves and pine needles, so I had waterfalls all around the house. The rain was warm, and I was figuring I'd get water in the basement if I didn't do something, so I pulled on some swimming trunks, got my old booney hat, and climbed up on the roof to clear the drains. Some fun! I'd pull out a plug of junk and the water would just rush down the drain. Of course, the lightening was a bit intimidating, what with me up on the roof and all, but the rain felt almost like a warm shower. Now, this morning my back felt like someone whacked me with a 2x4. The wife denies doing it, so I imagine the contortions I went to to get between the ladder and the roof, and back, might explain the pain. However, I'm still glad we got the rain. Some new apple trees I planted back in the spring were getting peaked.
