Hi all. I'm putting a crank in my P220 so it will work on my 8123 for a re-power. My question, the end of the crank has about 4/1000 " of wear on one side where the stur gear floats. It isn't alot but is very obvious. I have a lathe and was thinking of using a tig to lay down a few thin beads and then turning it to specs. Is 4 thousandths enough to worry about? Is this normal wear on a gravely engine?

Thanks for all your help.

Charlie

I don't know if you are on the right tractor forum for a good answer. You might want to check out mytractorforum. com there are a lot of Gravely people that have all the specs that you are looking for. That forum has the most Gravely fans out there. I'm not trying to make anyone mad but you will get more answers there then here. There is a guy by the name of RichardTX that is into Gravely's with Onan engines on that site, he may be able to help you. Good Luck
