Been a long while since I posted here but today I just rolled my XUV. I was going around a turn at 20-25mph and she started to slide on me. It went sideways and gripped something in grass and flipped. I wasn't wearing my seat belt and got thrown off into the passenger area and my head was sticking out. If it didn't just tip upside down and had gone over more it would have crushed me. If I didn't have a roll bar I would be dead as well. I attached a picture of it upside down. What you can't see is that it bent the roll bar a bit even and bent the bed. Let me just say John Deere saved my life today...

One other thing when it was upside down the engine wouldn't turn off and and spit out a ton of it's oil. I am hoping all is ok with it but I'm not sure just how much it lost. I'm hoping it turned off because the cylinders were flooded and the crank didn't seize or something...

Be safe people!

Shotgun what's your e-mail address? You could just right click on it though and click "save as" and do it that way though.

I really wish I got a picture of it right side up that really paints a scary picture. The whole roll bar is cocked to side and is very close to my head. I almost wonder what would have happened had I had my seat belt on.

It all happened very quickly but not quick enough for me to forget I didn't have my seat belt on and could very likely get crushed. In fact I was almost certain I was going to be at the very least pinned.

Definitly a worst case scenario for the rollbar and I thank john deere for having that standard. What really scares me though is the fact I've been through there so many times traveling faster even without issue. Then today here I am on my noggin.

Local folks here just ran into a tragedy late yesterday evening. A 14 year old boy was killed when he ran into the side of a moving 18-wheeler going down the main highway. He never stopped at the stop sign. People say he was been running up and down that road leading up to the highway all evening . He was NOT wearing a helment .
If it wasn't bad enough, the newspaper this morning printed something that was way out-of-line. The said he was decapitated during the accident. That was bad publicity. Things were bad enough for the family like it was, newspaper did not have to print that. After the accident, they said the truck driver started having chest pains and was believed to have been suffering a heart attack, he was brought to the hospital. This picture was posted in the local newspaper ~~~

darkday,

Glad you are okay. Your post came at a good time for me. I just bought a Trans Mule and showed your picture to my wife and son last night. They will be driving it more than I will so I stressed the safety factor with your pic.
