Since Friday I've used the box blade for 3 hours and bush hogged for about 5 hours. Cutting the field yesterday I hit some fairly thick grass and it went right through no problem. I can tell the box blade is going to be very effective at many projects I have.

I got my manual from Messicks yesterday and have read it once already. One question I have is checking the collant. I can see where the fluid supposed to be but can't see any in there. I guess it could be bone dry but wouldn't it overheat with all that work (the guy who delivered said it was checked over and would be good until I received my manual and gave it a once over, questioning the once over now)? Is there another way to check it without rubbing all the dirt off the tank and trying to see the fluid line through that plastic? I didn't have any antifreeze so I poured a little water in to see if I could see it in the tank and couldn't. Can you overfill and if so what to expect? Don't want to run it until I figure it out.

Cleaned the radiator screen and it wasn't too bad but on the radiator itself was quite dirty. Is there a good and easy to way to reach down there to knock off the debris? Thats a pretty tight spot.

Turning radius is not very good. While cutting, you really have to make a wide turn, didn't matter if in four-wheel or two wheel drive. Guess I'm just used to that little garden tractor.

It's my first tractor and I'm having a blast and can't wait to get off work to go sit on it for a few hours.

The smaller kubota engines were originally designed to be used for stationary applications and are well suited for an oil bath precleaner for the air intakes please see below;

change the air filter cartrdge or cartidges every twenty five hours rather than what is recommended by Kubota. air filters are cheap insurance to keep everything going- do not wash the filter(s) or clean them with compressed air of bang them on a table to clean them.

You may want purchase a replacement "Mann" oil bath precleaner and paper element unit" for your kubota engine they can be purchased from a duetz fahr dealer or directly from air supply now.com in california I always loved the duetz air filters because they worked with no problems and filtered the air very well for the diesel or gas engines and are very easy to clean and add oil to to maintain the proper filtration for your engine.

Wash your radiator and the reservoir with lots of hot water to clean it and just let the water run.

when the tractor is cool -as in over night cool remove the cap and check the fliud level

If the reservoir has a high and low marking the anti freeze volume should be at the higher cold level marker when it is cold.
add straight anti freeze only to the reservoir.
