Anybody have any idea what my buddy's 1655 Oliver might weigh?

I would have sworn that I saw 7900 pounds for the basic tractor somewhere in the owner's manual, but we went through the Specifications pages three times and never found it to actually confirm that.

He's looking for a trailer to haul it and I shot down a deal he had lined up on a nice one with two, 3500 lb. axles because I was positive it was too wimpy.
Especially since he has an Oliver 1610 FEL with an 84" bucket, cast rear wheel weights, AND fluid in the rear tires.

I'm thinking he needs something rated for 10,000 lbs plus?
Am I right?

BTW he has a pretty big GMC dump truck to tow it with.

Good call on the trailer being too light duty. 8,000 lb tractor, a trailer that might weigh at least 3,000 lbs and a few accessories that always want to go along and you're looking at 6,000 lb axles. Plus, the heavier axles have much bigger brakes. Then load range E tires to round out the package.

I'd definitely want a 14K trailer for that sort of setup. The only downsides are that they cost a bit more, and they weigh more empty.

Make sure you have enough truck and trailer if you do this.
