I am trying to figure out how much my TC26 weighs as I believe it is too heavy for my trailer. My trailer only has a single axle with a 3500 pound rating. I put the tractor on once but was afraid to drive it due to the way it handled. The Manual says the tractor weighs 1600 pounds but doesn't say if that is a dry weight or if it includes the fuel and fluids. My rear tires are loaded and calculate out to about 175 pounds each. The rear ballast weight is 450 pounds. The bucket is a 54 inch one and weighs 225#. I have no idea what the rest of the LA12 loader weighs. So it appears that my tractor weighs 2226 pounds plus whatever the the FEL weighs. Anyone have any idea? How large of a trailer do I need to safely carry the tractor? I assume that dual axle would be safer and more stable. Would one with dual 3500 pound axles be sufficient or is it necessary to have dual 5000 pound axles? The local trailer dealer insists that I need the dual 5000 pound axles (which of course is a lot more expensive). I wonder if anyone has actually weighed their machine with the loader on it? Also what kind of safety factor is reasonable for the trailer capacity.
Thanks,
John
