Does anyone know the weight of the YM1500 FEL, so I can figure total weight of tractor and implements for safe hauling on trailer. My owner's manual doesn't list it anywhere.

thanks,
Ralph

YM1500 FEL doesn't give much information. Do you have a brand name? You might check the manufacturer's website if the seller can't give you the information?

This is a oem Yanmar FEL and YFL1500 is the correct model number. They also made a YFL1575 model number. It came with my Yanmar YM 336D from around 1981. They haven't sold this unit in over 25 years. Whenever, I contact Yanmar about the old stuff they say they only deal with the new stuff and that the other is no longer available.

thanks

We don't have than info, but someone might. Never would have been able to guess from YM1500 FEL though, as a YM1500 is a tractor model....so it appeared you were asking for the weight of a FEL on a YM1500, which could have been any model loader, rather than a YFL1500 as you clarified. I would think you could look at the loader and guess within a couple hundred pounds, whcih should be close enough for trailering if you have accurate weights on everything else. The simple answer is to drive the trailer onto a scale with the tractor/loader on it. The difference from the GVCW of the trailer is how much additional you can haul in implements. The difference over the trailer weight is your tractor/loader weight.

LMTC, I was thinking about taking it to a scale as you mentioned but have a Woods BH750 bachhoe attached and don't know the weight of that either. Have the manual for the backhoe as well as the FEL but none mention weight. I know the weight of my tractor is 3000 lbs. and if I can find the weight of either the FEL or backhoe, then I can figure the other, once I weight it on the trailer. Of course, it would be alot easier not to have to load everything up and haul it ten miles to the scale.

thanks,
Ralph

I don't know if this is relevant but it may help you estimate yours.

The book says my YM240 should weigh about 1800 lbs. With the big West Bend loader (which might be the same thing as your loader), the HD front axle for the loader, and oversize rear wheels/tires, but no ballast anywhere, and before I had the ROPS, its scale weight was over 3,000 lbs.

So I would guess minimum 900 lbs for your loader, maybe far more if it looks a lot heavier than mine.

Also I was told my small 3-point backhoe (6.5 ft dig, 7.5 ft reach) weighs 750 lbs. That feels about right, when I raise the 3-point. You might be able to estimate how much larger your hoe is compared to that.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, California for the info. It might give me a ball park figure but still would like to find near exact as possible. I was mistaken in the thread about the model number. It's a Yanmar YFL 1500 FEL and is attached to my 3000 lb. Yanmar YM336D. Will still keep looking for the exact information until I have to take it to the scale if I can't find the info.

thanks,
Ralph
