Was there ever weights made by Kubota to fit a b5100e. I need them for the front. What I really want is a template of one. So I can make my own. Or is there anyone that has made them. I believe that the frame size is the same for the 5100,6100,7100 so either model will work. Thanks

I don't think it is realistic to make weights following a template. Front end weights are usually cast iron. Even if made from regular plate steel it would still be difficult to do and not worth the effort or cost. I used older international tractor weights on the front of my B7100 and they worked well on the bracket. The older IH weights often came in 75lbs and 100 lbs sizes. Many of these weights can be found at auctions. Other types of weights may also work. Basically, you need a slot in the front of the wieght which is able to fit over the approx. 3/8 thick bracket. For that size of Kubota 150-250 lbs would probably be enough.

This is just something that popped into my mind, so take it with a grain of salt. Make a square, 1/4" plate with obround holes to mount on the front bracket. Weld an 8" or so long solid steel bar to the center. Add cast iron weight-lifting weights and some kind of clamp, or even just a hole and a pin on the end. Whaddya think?

This is what I use on my B2710 for cutting with the rotory mower. (see attached photo) adds about 150lbs.

I know what I want to do, I am going to measure the front PTO cover and cut out the same shape with one inch steel. Extend the PTO cover mounting bolts, so the steel weights can be slid on, and bolted down on either side. That will give easy access for removal, and adding, and won't cover up front PTO, for using with under mount mower. I was wondering if anyone has done this, and had a template already. It won't be to big of a deal to do the measuring. I have a friend with a laser plasma cutter for the steel, And I will do the design in AutoCAD, so it should look good. What do you think.

I didn't know you had the front PTO. I used to have B5100E myself. Are the splines on the front PTO receiver shaft still intact?/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

What about doing what I suggested, except mounting two shorter bars on the sides of the PTO cover? From what I remember, these were fairly beefy. I don't remember if there is enough room there.
