I just purchased a TC35D with a 17la front end loader. When I have a full load in the bucket she is a little light in the rear. Can anyone give me suggestions on how much weight to add to the rear. I want to avoid filling the tires to save on the yard when the weight is not needed. I am looking at using the 3 point to carry the weight. I purchased the unit with the quick connect front plate, works great.

If I understand you correctly, you don't have anything on the 3pt currently? I normally have a box blade that weighs about 350# and I have not experienced any severe problems with a bucket full of sand, pea gravel, or rocks. I do notice it is a little light in back, but I just keep the loader bucket as low to the ground as possible and I've been just fine. Because of that, I'd say 500-700 pounds would be good. Now, when I hook under the roots of trees trying to "pop" them out of the ground, I sometimes lift the rear of my tractor. It's then that I wish I had the full lift capacity of about 2500 lb of rear ballast. I guess I'm saying that the amount of ballast depends on the full spectrum of work you intend to do, but I would think 500 lb would be good for most work. Hope this helps.

I have a kubota 3710 and use two different weight sources. Like you I like to keep the tires not fluid filled for mowing reasons. I have an "A" frame mounted device on my three pt for both my 5th wheel and for pulling trailers. I can mount 425 lbs of weight plus the frame makes about 500 lbs. The other source is my 550 lb box blade with an additional 450 lbs of weight. The 500 lb "A" frame works OK but for serious loader work the 1000# works the best. Especially with the loader raised you need the extra stability. With the loader filled the 500# still makes the back end too light, particularly if on a slight incline.
