weird noise this morning

I was helping a balloon crew inflate a balloon once, and they told me that when the fire lights up, it generates over 1 million BTU's of heat. It seems that in these times of petroleum shortages, it's kind of wasteful to be flying around in one of those with no real purpose other than to have fun. But then that's just my humble opinion. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I had that happen to me one evening sitting in a tree stand in a remote wooded area with a few fields around. I almost had to change my underwear!! When I first heard the WHHOOOOSH, I could see nothing through the treetops, and couldn't even tell exactly what direction it was coming from. I was having visions of fire-breathing dragons in the woods! After a few more burns, the balloon was close enough that I could hear the crew's voices and figured out what it was!
