weird things in wierd places

i was wondering what is the wierdest thing you have ever pulled out of places on a tractor and/or attachments. for instance i just pulled about 4 foot of wire and about 2 feet of rope out of my power king rototillar that i got a few weeks ago.

Two bird nests and a four foot black snake all off the head of an 8N that was kept in a three sided shed. My new tractor sits in an insulated and comfy barn now. Less critters that way.

One hundred feet of single phase 110 volt extension cord and tree climbing rope in my case.

Over the weekend I had to cut a knit blanket from a 3-point rototiller.

Earlier in the year I had to remove quite a but of carpet-backing fibers from my Husqvarna tiller - but then I was the one who put the carpet there about 10 years ago.

holly crap!! a 4 foot black snake!! i couldnt ever imagine tring to deal with that!! i have found a 2 foot garden snake next to my tractor tire and a mouse nest in the open motor crank case but never a a snake in it!! yea and my tractors are in there new garage waiting for a floor to be put in.

Well I may have everyone trumped, I saw a steering column sticking out of the ground. I pulled what looks like a Cab to a 60's Ford Pick-up. It's so flattened I can't tell the year or model. It's a ford, steering wheel says so. If there's a Ford nut out there let me know I can take pics of the Dash and hood ornament. Those are the only 2 really recognizable items. It had an automatic transmission and the doors had front vent window. Help me figure out what I've found.

Worst was about 200 feet of barbed wire that I got between my stumpjumper and the deck of my rotary mower. Had to drop the stumpjumper to get it out. Couldn't fuss to much to the idiot that left the wire in the field though, not to cool to be seen cussing yourself out.

Hay conditioner story.

Once on a Hesston hay conditioner I sucked up a huge raccoon. He got weged in the crimper and killed the engine. I hopped off to look and he was still alive but of course hurting in a bad way. I finally dispatched him with a hammer. What a mess. I had to back him out with a pipe wrench on the crimper shaft.

Got a skunk once too. He didn't stop the machine. Ever seen a crimped shunk? It was so bad that I couldn't get on the machine until it aired out for a day.

Then finally the big one. Some of the old farmers in the area didn't mend their fences in a timely manner and planted hay as close to the fence as possible. With the 7' tall hay grazer it was hard to even see the fence. Apparently there was a strand or two of barbed wire loose from the fence and it got into the header and wrapped around the crimper. I saw a cedar post in front of me just disappear, then the next one over. And the next. In just a few seconds before I could disengage the header I had removed about 200' of fence. Not a good day.

What about the guy in the Projects subforum that unearthed a dead body in a shallow grave recently. I forget who the poster was, but I'm going to call that as "trump" on just about anything...
