Weird weather

We had a temp of 85 degrees on Wed in Jacksonville, Fl

Supposed to be 30 degrees at 6 AM Sat.

Yep it is weird & different. Has been the last 2 /3 years.

In the past 3 weeks have had a low of 12 / 13 & a high of 89. Trees have been confused the last 2 or 3 years as well. Get a false spring & they bud or leaf out, then a freeze that burns off the new leaves or buds.

I think that's a different issue. It probably has to do with people being run down, fatigued and not in general good health more than the weather. I run out to get the paper in my bare feet in the snow. It hurts! But I don't get sick from that. I'm much more fearful of my infected co-workers coming in caughing all over their hands and then grabbing the doorknobs than anything else!

Talk about crazy weather we had a tornado here yesterday. Never remember a tornado in January, they usually don't come till April but have seen them in March.

I hate that, had a co-worker standing next to me sounding all raspy and mentioned puking just before coming to work! And we've had most of the work force out for a week already! I'm not visiting my Dad cause im afraid i'll bring something from work and give it to him. AAAAnd we have sick leave, so money isn't the issue. Ok im better now.:laughing:

I think it may be global something. Those that seem to have never been able to predict the weather for the past 50 years will no doubt come up with the perfect, and very trendy, explanation.

Uh, dunno, we live on planet Earth. It can be 80 degrees in Florida and 5 degrees less than a day's drive away. Been that way, or worse, for millions of years.
I'd be concerned if it wasn't weird.

Listened to a climate scientist sometime in July or early August. He was asked what the weather would be like this year. He said global warming models predict that areas in the South would have bursts of much colder/snowier weather than normal including snow in places like Houston, Texas. In the Northeast, he said it would be warmer than normal overall with large swings between much warmer than normal intermixed with cold/snowy periods. The interviewer expressed significant disbelief but the scientist was right on.

Currently in one of the colder periods after record breaking warm weather last week. February looks like it will average 5 - 10 degrees warmer than normal
