Here's how I decided to mount my TNT valve.
I'll post several views.
The metal isn't even painted green yet. In fact it's got some orange paint where it isn't sanded bare. It was part of an old industrial equipment cabinet, 1/8" steel. I've got 20 or 30 square yards of the stuff, so in my shop orange metal is plasma cutter fodder for cutting up to make parts that can be painted green. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
No plumbing yet, but that will come and I'll post more pics then. This mounting allows the plumbing to the cylinders to be nice and close, the valve handle falls right under my hand, and it's pretty close to the hydraulic supply lines. Also, most of the hydraulics are behind the seat, where they are less likely to be a hazzard. I may also fabricate another piece of steel after the plumbing is all done.
So This mounts the valve at a 45 degree upward tilt from the ROPS on the right side of the seat. It also has a wedge plate that tilts it away from the ROP by a few degrees both to straighten it up from the ROP angle, and to let me get mounting bolts under the valve and rectangular U-bolts around the ROP.
This was my first fabrication/plasma cutting/welding job with the new toys (er... tools). The welds were pretty ugly, but plenty strong and acceptably clean after some grinding.
