Welding in a hay loft

   / Welding in a hay loft #11
I would find a way to take the welding OUT of the barn then bring it back or find a way to use nuts and bolts. No way would I use any spark source in my barn. I throw a fit when some one even wants to smoke inside.

Even if the barn was free of hay and dust I think I would find another option.

They don't make ones like this any more. Here is a picture of my money pit after an ice storm a few years back

How many times has someone asked the infamous question, "which welder do I get?" or asked how much totally inadequate extension cord they can use? Given that a mig throws sparks 30-40 feet, who would think of welding in a hayloft?

I was spoofing these repetitive questions, and then evidently it got serious.

For the record: 1) get whichever welder suits you; 2) forget the extension cord; and (3) don't weld in explosive situations.

Possible fourth answer is for me to watch what I post least somebody take me seriously.
