I have never heard about not running them out before.

But around here, even if you "own" your tank instead of leasing them, they don't fill them on the spot. You simply exchange tanks.

I,m curious about not running tanks out also. Never heard of that before. If you have check valves on a cutting torch there is no way one gas could get from one tank to the other. I have always used mine till there was not enough gas in them to do what i wanted to do.

Once again I want to thank everyone for the additional posts and advice.

I own my tank. Colorado is a low humidity state, so I'm not overly concerned about excessive humidity.

I will keep an eye on flow rate and go for a refill when I'm ~20PSI or less.

I wish I had a TIG welder...someday.
