Just got back from the dealer. Sealed the deal on a brand spankin new 7040 Hydraulic shuttle with self leveling 1153. Dealer said if I would let him order a new loader with the self leveling valve already installed (instead of taking an 1153 off another tractor and installing the valve) I could get out the door for 29.5K. I said deal. Tractor should be ready to go next week, but I will be out of town, so delivery should be the week following. Pics will be posted here upon delivery. Oh yea, also bought a Rhino TW84 hog (not included in the above price). Whew that thing is bigger than I remeber...I was a little intimidated by it!!!

Great appreciation and gratitude to all you folks who patiently provided me with help, info, and advice. I don't think (well I know) I would not have been able to come to my decision without all your help. Thanks again.

Hello all, this is my first post! I plan on purchasing a 7040 or 8540 in the next 3-4 months equipped with the same options. I was wondering does anyone know the cost of the cast iron rear wheels, as I plan on doing alot of loader work.

Does a self leveling loader cost more than normal loader or is it the same, I was quoted $30,500 for 7040 with loader, it also has cast wheels, does this sound fair?
