Hi guys, this could be consider more like a general post but I think it fits in this section the most :) I've been a compact tractor owner now for more than 6 years, I started with a brand new Kubota B2620 which I quickly learn to really like, in less than 5 years I put almost 2000 hours on this little machine completely transforming my 20 acres property and I can't believe what this little machine was capable to do :) I now upgrade to a new LX3310 and I've had it only a couple months and rack up over 100 hours already :) Now on to what I'd like to discuss, since the very beginning I've look for a lot of things for my tractor, parts, things to build my own mods, implements and many other things and the number 1 things that I've found extremely frustrating so far is how here in Canada we can't seem to be able to buy from our closet friend and neighbour the US without any issues...
Some US company that supply implements like "HLA" and "Wallenstein" which are build in Ontario where I live can't even ship them back to me if I would like to purchase from them and so many other company that do mods and custom parts can't or won't ship to Canada ???? I just don't understand this ? I can buy many things from amazon and other companies that are base in Europe, Mexico or China !! without any issues at all but yet I can't seen to even get some standard items from our own neighbour !??? Our combine countries governments and big business have been crying for years now that they wish we would buy made in America but yet they still making very hard to pretty near impossible to do so !!?? Christmas is coming and again I bought a few things from oversea or really had too because I couldn't get a US company to ship them to me ..... Yet amazon will have so many parts and things to my door the $%@#$% next day !!! if our major companies and politicians really wish for us to buy from here well DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!

Sorry for venting on this :) I hope some of you can get more and more parts and items from either within your own country or from across each other because I truly believe we have lost our own autonomy when it comes to manufacturing products in our combine countries. Hope we see a reversal of this in my generation...

to all a Mery Christmas :)

I am guessing the companies are small enough and have enough US based business they dont want to hassle with Canadian import/customs. I agree it is frustrating. I am able to buy all kinds of things from Canada and have them shipped here....but there was one I vaguely remember that didnt sell to US. That really pissed me off!

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

I have a Sister who lives in Southern Ontario... what she would do, when it came to reasonably sized parts/orders from the US who would only/free ship within the continental US would be to have it shipped to a ferry port on, I think, the St. Clare river. They'd put it on the ferry and you could pick it up on the Canadian side, walk it through Customs, and you were on your way.

Yeah, it was a bit of an embuggerance, but it worked.

Anyway, enjoy the site.
