I'm on a well (obviously) and have a well tank with an air volume control valve - my system is working for the moment but various conditions have led the tank to tilt a bit, with it worsening slowly over time. I want to catch this before it gets ugly.

As the title mentions - I'd like to use a short run of PEX from the pump (deep well submerged) to the tank, and from the tank to the line to the house. Just enough that if the tank tilts I don't have to worry about the pipe breaking. The tank is in a wellhouse (though that will be rebuilt when I do this project) and it rarely gets below freezing here (only by a few degrees typically) but it does get over 110 during the summer months. Won't be exposed to UV at all either, since it's in the wellhouse.

Pretty sure the incoming (from the pump) line is 1&1/4" and the output is 1". I'm thinking at most, maybe 2' of each one - just enough to give the tank a little wiggle (wobble?) room in case we have hard rains that make it sink or move. I'd like to put a concrete pad out there for it though.

Any ideas?

Just go with the slab. then you will not need all the other stuff.

How bout some flat cinderblocks to stabilize it in the meantime. Ask a plumbing supply house about the use of pex for your project.

don't know exactly what you're asking ,but pex is a little flexable. Depends on how much you need it to flex. too much and it will crimp

Doesn't PEX need special fittings and crimping tools?
Seems like there are cheaper ways if you don't have the tools.
I think I have seen PVC Flex joints at the box stores.
I am also using PVC pipe connectors on my well pump so I can change it without cutting the pipes. They look just like the steel connectors but use an O-ring to seal and come in sizes from 1/4" to 2" and probably larger. Also sold at ACE and the box stores.

they make quick connect fittings for pex or, crimp rings. Most pex fittings are re useable

I poured a 10x12 pad for my pump house, and nothing moves, But a few bags of concrete mixed and poured under the tank would stop your problem.

Pour a cement slab and forget all the fancy plumbing and special tools required. If things move when sitting on a cement slab then we all have a lot more problems!

One of mine uses the steel coated flex hoses for the connections and one uses the clear plastic with the fiberglass reinforcement inside the plastic. both work very well and keep the vibrations down between the pumps and tanks.

You can buy either at most places that sell plumbing supplies. They come with connectors in various lengths.

I does not seem to hurt them to freeze.
