This is me at work, we had to make the ICC bumper narrower, seams it had been pushed inward and was hitting the test equipment. We used a hand held grinder, with a cut off blade, and took off six inches from each end.. Also, the repairmen that cam out to the truck today, fixed on it so much, that now its really broken, to the point that we may not work tomorrow. There goes that overtime for paying for my new tractor.

How do you like those sparks shooting back at your face. I have found there is almost always a way to reposition the tool to run the sparks at the ground.

Good times.

Thanks, however, we had already cut most of the way through, and this was the only way to get at the last half inch. I did have my safety glasses on, and the sparks were not hitting my face, I was out of alignment, about 8 inches, behine the cutting tool. But on cutting the other side, was able to get the sparks to go downward. see attached photo.

Do you have a pic of the whole vehicle. I used to deliver new highrail vehicles for CSX years ago but I dont remember anything like that.

Why, Yes, I have a photo or two of the whole truck. Here is the first of two I will post, of the truck just after having a bath, looking good, for a truck that sat for three years, and is now back out making the company money.

Ive seen a rail car from sperry that stayed on the rails like a engine do those do the same kind of test. I was told they x-ray the rails to find bad spots. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yes, that is Ct. Plates on the truck.

Office is in Danbury, Ct.
I get there every once and a while. I did find out today, that my scheduled will finally have me working close to home, I should be around Baton Rouge, LA, inabout two to three weeks. Just in time to visit home and check on my tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
