Rereading my post I looked up my Cub to be sure we were talking about the same unit. My mistake going from memory. It was actually a 2544.
But I really wanted to just post a follow-up for anyone who may be considering an X310. After a defective carburetor was replaced early-on our X310 has operated faultlessly and we have been more than pleased with this little rider. I was concerned how well it would function as a bagger with the stock 3 in 1 blades but no problems at all. Even with damp grass and leaves it only clogged the chute twice and both times it was simply due to me not emptying it in time after it became filled. Power steering is not necessary for most people on a little tractor like this but I'll say it is nice, basically effortless maneuvering it around tight sections. The 42" deck allows it to fit easily in a mid size pick-up (1st gen Tundra) for transporting.
