I use a larger version of this brand it has worked well for me. Of course I don't abuse it and just use it for picking up brush and not ground engagement task.

60″ Two-Cylinder Brush Grapple | Express Steel Inc
With the 5010 I could use a pretty hefty one so am not too worries about weight but need something I can move rocks and samplings with and haul logs to the sawmill.

I'm set now on hydraulics so just need to see if there is a good unit around that I could get to use this fall vs waiting.

We're actively working a DNR thinning project on 6 of our 20 ares with a lot of small trees to haul to the burn pile ;)

Tore me up last trip doing it all by hand

The above is not in stock either so I'm stuck with 54" grapples (LS or Braber) which are local.

The Mahindra dealer tells me they have a 3rd member electronic switch that Mahindra uses to divert the bucket functions to the grapple. You push the button and the hydraulics are shifted to the grapple and the same stick works the grapple as the bucket. $800 to install.

So, I'll be into the LS 54" grapple and 3rd member at around $3400 plus taxes but would be able to get busy and not have to wait 4+ months for a grapple and then until spring for the thaw to allow me access to a lot of the area I need to work in (even with 4wd and chains it's just too rough a terrain to get into when there are a few feet of snow over ice to contend with ;) ).

Settled on the 54 inch LS. We shall see if it takes the beatings:)

Don't settle for the mahindra diverter valve system. Get the WRLong system. This gives you an open close switch for the grapple that works independent of the other loader functions. This way you can use your loader as normal while also opening or closing the grapple. Even if the cost is a bit more just go for it you won't regret it.

Sorry for the late reply, I had already gone with the diverted. I do like it though. I just push a button on the joystick and the just opens and closes and I can feather it if needed.

So far I am pretty happy 😊

Will have a vid out next week about it and using it at the cabin 😉
