HELLO ALL JUST BOUGHT A KABOTA L 3600 WITH FEL 1100 HOURS ON IT AND GST TRANSMISSION. THE FELLOW TOLD ME IT NEEDED A NEW CLUTCH SO THATS NO BIG DEAL FOR ME TO DO I COULD PUT IT IN FIRST GEAR AND SPIN ALL FOUR WHEELS WITH BUCKET LOCKED IN DIRT BANK GOT ME THINKING NOW I PULLEDTHE VALVE BODY OFF AND SAW WHERE THE SNAP RING CAME OUT OF THE CLUTCH PACK IS THIS A RARE PROBLEM OR HAS IT HAPPENDED TO ONE OF YOU GUYS OUT THERE ALSO I NOTICED HARDLY ANY THREADS ON THE L3600 GST IS THIS A A LAME DUCK IN THE KABOTA LINE OR JUST A GOOD TRACTOR

Hello and welcome to this great Forum…
The L3600 is the same as the L2900, L3300, and the L4200. They are all good tractors. I am not sure I follow your post… Is the clutch bad? Was the only problem the snap ring? KennyV.
PS… your cap lock would appear to be stuck….

This is a common problem in the early gst transmissiion. Kubota has extended warranty to original owner by serial number. If the snap ring comes completly out normally no other damage occurs. Yor must replace clutch case and some shift rods as new case is thicher in snap ring area. Good luck!
