A lot of guys also make their own suitcase type weights for the front of their tractors. If you do a search for "suitcase weights" or "counter weights" or something along those lines, you'll find lots of photos and information. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

rdln picture says it best.If you get a chance visit a tractor dealer that sell 70hp plus tractor w/suit case weights and take a peek,than visit a old tractor pulling contest and notice the weights back from yester years....different models..different sizes.

The ones that people use on their Yanmars weigh 40-45 lbs. They are notched to fit on the front bumber. There is room to hang 3 or 4 on the front bumper. Almost any time you hang something on the 3 point, front weights are a good idea to counter balance the weight on the back and to help keep the front wheels on the ground.

I would love to have about 4 or 5 of them but it would cost a small fortune to ship them to Ohio .

I too had trouble finding reasonable prices for suitcase weights in the Ohio area. I must have checked 12 compact tractor dealers and they were selling new suitcase weights for arounf $2.00 per pound. I contacted my local steel shop and with a drill press and band saw, made my own for 50 cents per pound.
