Seems like they have things under control. Wonder what the issue was.

Interesting. Who knows what happened and I suspect we never will.

I think the last sentence says a lot. The CEO is going back to Korea. People tend to assume that people from other countries like being in whatever other country they are assigned rather than at home. While that may be true for some, most often it is a hardship to be assigned many miles from home.

The terminology may or may not mean anything. Relieved tends to mean fired to us, but it can just as easily mean he requested it.

As said above, we may never really know.

Korean leader culture is much different than Western/US leader culture. Like Torvy said, could be family related etc that CEO asked to be dismissed. They have much more duty/loyality sense than Western culture.
