What痴 a fair price for a Case 310g crawler loader?

Good morning to everyone, first time post. I知 looking at what I believe to be a Case 310G crawler with a 4 in 1 bucket, scarfing bar and diesel engine. Owner is asking 5K as is. My plan is to use it for basic grading of stone driveways, trail maintenance and logging pine and cedar trees of our personal properties. This will be my first tracked vehicle, so any input and/or advice is much appreciated and welcome.
Of course, the owner says it runs great and hasn稚 had any breakdowns or problems. I知 going this morning to see/hear it run and inspect the undercarriage with what knowledge I have.
I have almost unlimited access to repair and maintenance tools, along with my dad has prior heavy equipment experience and is a retired mechanic. Looking forward to your comments and concerns, thanks!

Price sounds decent but I don't have much knowledge about that equipment either. If possible, take your Dad or someone else with the knowledge of what to look for.
