Oh hey
I am the proud owner of a Yamaha Terrapro with a brushog and tiller attachment. I already found out which belt is supposed to be on it thanks to this page. For the past three years, our farm has chose to use the "Broad Fork" and hand till/aerate and weed our 1/2 acre of raised garden beds. We mulch heavily with rotten hay and use all variety of manure and compost teas allowing the earthworms to do the tilling for us. we have literally trillions. Once the beds are established the no till/heavy hay mulch works well. However, recently I finally decided to use my other 1968 ford 3 cylinder gas tractor to do what a tractor is supposed to and borrowed a disc to work up some soil and was astonished how quickly it went. ha ha. I think this tractor thing just might catch on. people should know about these machines.
btw I'm in the market for a chisel plow. If you want to make an omelet you have to break some eggs and this is how i would like to initiate our raised beds- plow with tractor, till with terrapro - then cover with manure/hay.
I would also like to know if i'm missing a part on the tiller for the terrapro that raises and lifts it or if i can get away with using a ratchet strap to raise it. and if the terrapro has the chutzpah to till a small plot.
wait a minute I'm not a ridiculous as I may seem?
thanks a lot for any info/comments
