What are these on this ZD?

Been looking at pics of ZD mowers. Noticed this pic shows some sort of wheel flares or mud guards. This a factory option?

I'm told they are only on Rear discharge mowers, keeps discharged grass from getting around radiator and protective screen??? I wanted to purchase for my ZD326 and when I asked why they didn't come on my mower that is what I was told by Kubota Rep.
