What are these?

This might not be the best place to post this question.
Found 2 items in my old shed (came w/ property). What are they? I am getting into rural life a little late in life and it seems there is a lot I don't know. Thanks

First one is a log hook or spike.
The other looks like a re bar cutter or chain tool.

#1 Agree with log tongs minus.
#2 looks like it might be a tool for closing the cross chain hooks on tire chains. Can you post a pic of the other side? MikeD74T
