Bobcat CT235
Newbie on the site and need some suggestions. Have a new Bobcat CT235 ordered and need to buy a box blade, pallet forks, and looking at Pat's quick hitch for my three point.
Was wondering what size box blade would work best on the CT235, a 5' or a
6'? Was looking at Bobcat, Landpride, Bush Hog, or KK box blades. They
all have different models, the one I was looking at getting was the Bush Hog
SBX72 that was priced out at $825.00.
Suggestions on pallet forks, and comments on Pat's quick hitch set up would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. I am not familiar with your tractor but I would go with a size that matches the width of your rear tires. When shopping for a box blade weight is your friend. The more the better. I use Pats system on one tractor and have been happy with it. If your tractor has the Bobcat quick attach system on the FEL Bobcat makes a nice set of forks. It has been a few years but I think mine cost about $800.

Here are the specs on MarkV's tractor: Bobcat CT235 Compact Tractor - Bobcat Company
Looks like a 5' or 6' box blade will work fine. I lean toward the wider one so that it will stick out past the tires a bit. This is important for working near walls. Look at the specs for each box. For example: LandPride makes several different versions of the 6' box weighing from 504-931lb. There is a big difference in how strong & heavy these boxes are made. Pick the right one for you. I have a medium duty Frontier box that I am very happy with. I suggest a quick attach bucket & forks. Forks that clamp to the bucket edge have less capacity and are likely to bend the bucket.

Just my opinion here, but if it were me, I would be looking for a either a medium or heavy duty box blade that is 66" wide. I feel that 72" is just to wide for your size tractor, not to say that 72" won't work, just that it is a bit big in my opinion. Get yourself a set of Bobcat quick attach forks and you will be good to go. Not sure if you will need Pats quick hitch, you should be good with the extendable links that come standard I believe. If not, let me know, because I sure would like some extendable lower links for my 3215 Mahindra.

Good luck with your new tractor, it's the one that I would have got if I hadn't already bought my 3215.

I have the 225, so you have 8 more hp to play with but I like the 5' that I got. I wonder if you would struggle with traction on the bigger model. I was able to pick up a good used BB for less than $400. I think 10 min with a wire wheel and a couple of cans of spray paint and it would look new. I was told to buy by weight and weld quality. It's a pretty simple tool. It may be a good place to save a few $$ unless you are in a big hurry. I got some chain on forks from a local welder but they have proven pretty tough to do delicate work with since the bucket is in the way. They are plenty strong and stay in place if you ratchet them down snugly. They were $200. The Bob-Tac bucket and forks will run close to $1000

I like my Woods GB65 behind my 35 hp L3400. It's the olny one I ever tried, but it seems just right.
