Looking to buy a 72" rotary cutter, medium duty. The two that i've seen so far are the Woods and Bush Hog Squealer priced at $2100 and $1800 respectively. Are these good prices? Which is the the better rotary cutter? Thanks for your input.

Squealers are hard to beat in the light/med duty range. Before you buy, price a set of replacement blades for each brand. That will help you decide. Woods parts are outrageous.

I have the 6ft. squealer by bush hog. It's 3 seasons old now and has held up very well. It cuts nicely, is well built and was a far better deal than the land pride.

The bottom line is, I would buy another one and if I you knew me and I told you that, it's saying something for that particular product.

I have a Bush Hog rear blade that has worked out nicely as well. Would also have purchased a Bush Hog box blade this summer that I really wanted but the representative screwed me and the dealer over so I cancelled the deal and went to Tractor Supply and bought a King Kutter. Wasn't exactly what I wanted to do but the KK has worked out pretty well so far.

BEFCO Tornado's are nice cutters also. Worth a look if you are in the market.

I have a Woods Brushbull and it is an excellent rotary cutter. They are very well built. I have used it very hard and it keeps on going. I would recommend to anyone a Woods.

You will be happy with the Bushhog. I have a 5' Squealer and it's well built. 3 1/2 pretty rough years on it with no trouble. I did get a piece of metal hung on one of the blades that wouldn't let the blade move on the end, but that wasn't the machine's fault.

Landpride makes good stuff, too, if you have a dealer nearby.

NH, you keep having these 50/50 propositions.....:)

Money is good for both and both are good rigs. I'd lean Woods myself, but. Landpride was another good suggestion.

One might think checking into one of the lower-end makes would see a price break but I see that Northern Tool has their 7' KKs priced at $2600.

NH, flip a coin, decide which color you like better..............and run with it.
