If the Bush Hog is built as well as the Alamo RFM, the I vote for Bush Hog!

Our MF RF500 is an Alamo mower. Excellent unit.

Is a floating hitch an option on any of them??

Comparing the features I consider Woods and Land Pride the best.

If I am not mistaken, the Kioti is merely a re-branded Sicma, also sold as First Choice and Phoenix. I have it and love it. It's quality and reputation is right there with other names you mentioned. Could not go wrong with any of them.

I have used rear finishing mowers for many years and I presently mow my 7 acre yard with one. I put about 5 hours a week on my rear finishing mower during the mowing season. All brands are not created equal. There are features on some mowers that make them last that others do not have.

I have a woods, and a land pride, both are great pieces of equipment, I favor land pride , I think there stuf is better than deere, Ive used some late model bush hog equipment latley and was dissapointed , I would never buy a bush hog brand anything. Eric

Its not so much of a what is best mower, it is a case of what mower can
I afford to the job for the kind of finish I want?

Have you considered purchasing a flail mower for your mowing chores?

A flail mower has a full width rear roller that reduces/eliminates scalping as the entire width of the mower is supported and cannot wrack and twist and it prevents the mower blades from being bent and causing damage to the grass from scalping.

The LandPride folks offer a line of flailmowers and they seem to be well built.

I've owned Woods and never will again. They fell short on warranty issues too many times for my benefit. If you gave me a Woods mower, I STILL wouldn't use it. Very inconsistant with regards to quality control.

I now use Bush Hog mowers exclusively in my commercial mowing business. High quality, well thought out designs, excellent product support, and VERY durable to boot.

Bush Hog is now part of The Alamo Group. That consists of Alamo, Shulte, Rhino, and Bush Hog....The 4 biggest names in the industry. Look at what mowers you see doing highway right-of-way mowing....You'll find 95% of them are Alamo Group products. They build the best.
