Snow What brand Snow Blower for a BX-22??????

I have decided to consider purchasing a snow blower for my BX-22. I know that Kubota offers one, however I want to explore all the options. What other brands are available and what is the cost? I don't want a 3 point one..... hate driving back wards!!! Also, what are the chute options available???? Do you know of any used ones that are available????? thanks in advance....

I have been using the front quick mount 'Bota snow blower with great success. I don't recall the model number but it is from Canada and is approx 50" wide. The quick mount assembly allows me to switch from blower to plow blade in a couple of minutes. I use the blade for clean up and light snow.

At the beginning of winter I install the front mount. It isn't that complicated even though the power is from the Mid PTO and runs thru a shaft to the quick mount attachment. From there there is a shaft on the blower that connects to the mount. While it sounds like a rube goldberg arrangement it works very smoothly and without a problem.
I didn't get the electric chute or deflector options. From what I was told by the dealer they are very slow when compared to the hand crank.

Last year the blower didn't bog down in either heavy or deep snow. The Piles by the street were no problem at all. In fact you have to be careful where you aim the machine as it will hurl good sized stones 60 to 100 feet. I keep the skid shoes up as high as they will go.

I think the front blower for small Kubotas is made by a AGRO-TEC/RAD. RAD has OEM'd front PTO snowblowers for a variety of manufaturers. For a little more info, you can go to http://www.rugwire.com/honda. The quick hitch PTO snowblowers for the Honda garden tractors were also made by AGRO-TEC/RAD.

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately they don't offer the snowblower through any dealer network other than Kubota dealers supplied by Kubota USA..... I am looking for other brands that will fit other than Kubota's unit...... thanks again..

I'm not surprised that RAD does not directly supply 3rd party snowblowers for small Kubotas; I think they only do OEM versions. From the RAD link on the Honda page noted in my previous post you can see that RAD makes other functionally identical blowers for people like John Deere. All you could really do is look for a used or boneyard RAD blowerhead (the auger gearbox and gearbox brace on a RAD blower is very easy to identify once you've seen one), then buy the subframe & hydraulic lift from Kubota. Not the quickest solution to the problem!
How much $$ is the whole front snowblower package from Kubota?

Junkman, I have bad news for you as nobody has offered anything for the mid pto. Kubota's price is roughly 3000 with the valve but only about 2500 without. You could go to some of the rear pto drive units but they are not as good as the mid mounts. The Kubota is a great blower and there are some options such as electric deflector and hydraulic rotation. Great units, let moe know if you need to know more,one bad thing is they are virtually out till January.
