There is a short somewhere. Does it blow right away or only when starting or using the glow plugs?

thanks for the input.....it will run just fine then you notice that the tractors temp gauge and no instrument lights are working.after shutting the tractor off ,it will not crank untill the 30 amp fuse is replaced again!!

Usually a short or an overload.

Sounds like an exposed wire making its way to ground. When it blows the fuse use a test light to make the connection across the fuse. If there is a short the light will be on. Wiggle wires until the light goes off or if the light is off wiggle wires till it comes on. Normally that will lead you to the problem.

So he can burn up the tractor…? Post #5 is a good place to start.

10 amp increase won't roast the tractor but the issue is a dead short somewhere. Use a voltmeter or continuity tester to find it.

Replace the fuse, start it, but don't move or operate anything. Then shut it down immediately and see if it restarts or blows the fuse again. Since it's probably a short, just use a 10 or 20 amp fuse until you find out what system is involved: seat, starter, lights, instruments, etc. Could be a mouse or chipmunk chew, or a lever rubbing against a wire that has lost it's insulation. Since it runs with the fuse out, there's a hint as to the root cause.

Not really, nothing electrical needed to keep it running, all mechanical. Electrical system only powers starter, gauges & lights.
Agree there's probably a chafed wire somewhere.
