I just finished installing my remotes on my BX2660 and when I was cleaning up, I found this on the floor. I don't have a clue what it came from. It says Energy Disc on it and it is about 1 3/8 inches in diameter. Could have come from the cheap Harbor Freight aluminum floor jack I used.

Looks like the front of a hose nozzle..........

My first thought was that is is a restriction washer use to slow down fluid flow.
But it looks more like a gasket of some type.
Is it flexible like gasket material?

It is semi-flexible and seems to have silicon stuck to it. It is plastic.

I'd say that box of honey-comb cereal needs to be tossed.

I'm with Bernie. I've seen similar flow restrictors inserted so that they are just sort of free floating where the hydraulic hose connects to the return side of front loader lift cylinders. If that is what it is, it's use is to prevent cavitating the hydraulic fluid when too heavy of a bucket load suddenly forces the load down......like what would happen if the operator has a big load in the bucket and just opens the FEL lever to drop the load instead of feathering it.
And if it is a flow restrictor then it won't hurt anything to leave it out until next time you are back in there.

was it dry or wet from oil?

was it new, or used?

did the one side have a celophane covering over adheshive?

It looked used. It was not wet. I don't think it was part of the BX. At one and 3/8 inches, it is to big to fit any of the hydraulic fittings. It might have been in the box the remotes were shipped in. It looks like it might have had silicon sealant on parts of it. I can pull small pieces of it (the silicon) off. There is not much silicon on it though.

Brian,

If you used the Kubota BX7326 kit, there is nothing on the first page with the kit laid out that looks like your part.

If you used an aftermarket kit, I think it came from whoever packed the box.
