Bought a tractor ad said it was a 1984 Satoh Buck. I can not find any numbers on it anywhere. The tag is blank.

I believe Satoh is (or was) owned by Mitsubishi. As far as I know they no longer import. Ok after 2 days of "googling" I found the numbers. Turns out it is a Satoh S470, 2 wheel drive (kinda figured that out on my own) I even got it running which brings me to my next problem. It starts and runs but only at one speed. I'm guessing but about 1000 rpm. the speed control lever moves but has no effect on the rpm. I'm guessing this tractor has sat for a long time as there was black tar in the fuel tank.
Any help with a K3B 0.849L injector pump would be greatly appreciated.

with all the ID removed, and the color painted over, it might be stolen!. in which case, you lose your money..

I found the numbers, they were just painted over, I also got the tractor from the guys house so I know where he lives.

Make sure the air filter is clean and the air passage is not blocked - that tractor will get real picky without enough air. How's the fuel flow from the tank? Have the fuel lines been properly bled of air? The throttle control should move linkage to the pump - ensure that it does. Valley Power may have a manual available for your tractor. If you don't see it on the website give them a call. It's a small outfit and they will talk with you in a knowledgeable manner.
