I thought I was the only one that felt I was going through blended diesel like crazy?? Hard to believe that #2 is that more efficient but it is. Mow way more than snow blow on a tank.
I wonder if today's motor oils contain ingredients to deal with high sulphur.Add another 10-15% onto efficiency by using #3, if you can find it. large stationary and portable gen sets; we used to use #3 all the time (40 years ago). Its availability may have been affected by the sulfur content rules. Question I cannot answer is if the switch to low sulfur may have an affect on today's engines if high sulfur is used in them.
