So, the previous owners of our property left this implement, describing it as a harrow. I am no expert, but it seems to me that it is some form of cultivator. It has two height selectors on each wheel that permit the raising and lowering of the cutters (I have no idea what the technical term for these are:D) and I would like to be able to use it.

I have taken pictures of the end that attaches to the tractor. Our tractor only has a drawbar which is set too low to be able to use that to attach this implement to.

As you can see from the pictures, it has a number of holes on the front which, I assume, are used to attach it to the tractor using pins so that it can be fixed at various heights. It also has some form of coupler that would fix using a large pin that would fit vertically through a drawbar or something similar.

I am hoping that there is something that I can attach to either the drawbar or the 3PH to enable me to use this.

Does anyone have any idea what it is that I need? I am no fabricator so, if I am not able to purchase something somewhere, I am SOL.

Many thanks for any replies.

Look at the third pic, the very front piece mounts around your draw bar. Drop the pin thru it and I guess the other pin section is for height.

The third pic shows the piece that might be used to attach to your drawbar with a pin, BUT I'd want to verify you could turn a tight circle without hanging up the impliment's long arm on the side of the tractor's rear wheels. So you might have to use your 3PH instead. You could get a mobile welding service to make what you might need or take pics/measurements and go to a welding shop.

The vertical piece at the front of the harrow with all the holes allows for height adjustment of the coupler. Remove the bolt from the coupler and the top holes, and remount the coupler at the proper height to match your drawbar. If it will not go low enough, your tractor drawbar may be set up to be removed and turned over to provide a different hitch height.

I would not recommend attaching to a drawbar on the three point hitch, because there is no downforce on the hitch, which could permit it to ride up and cause problems in control under some circumstances.

You don't need anything other than a pin to attach that to your tractor. The tongue and frame of the harrow should be level when pulling it. Jack up the tongue till it is level, then remove the bolt with the green head so you can move the U shaped clevis attachment down till it fits your drawbar height. Drop in a pin and your are hitched. That implement looks like a chisel plow that someone has put cultivator sweeps on. It is going to be a hard pull for your 4600 if you set it very deep in the ground but it should really tear up the ground if you can pull it. I would love to have something like that for my LS P 7010 to pull and uproot all my rocks.

Is that a riding arena? Did they use it to rip that up and then drag it?

you need a pin.

That should be it.

If you can't turn tight enough, get a drawbar that fits between the three point arms. They have lots of holes and you can adjust the height. Also, you can get some stabilizer arms for them that attach to the top link so that it can't get pushed up. Nothing fancy needed here.

Like this. Implement on the right. Tractor drawbar on the left.

How wide is it? It takes a lotta tractor to pull a chisel plow. No used my grandpa's behind his 85 horse and it struggled a little to pull it

But it looks a little wider than yours
