I am thinking about buying one from the farm supply store for $759.
What do you guys think about King Kutter rotary mower?

I have what is call a HD Farm Force 6' box blade built by Tarter Gate, it is very poorly made and sure is not HD in my book. I am now waiting on all the 3pth linkage pieces because they all bent. If Farm Force and Tractor Supply is any example of what a King Kutter is don't buy it. Where I live we get maybe 5 months out of the year that we can do work outside and I will have to wait 2-3 weeks for my parts.

This is the only one I've used (it's for subcompact tractors), and it was fantastic. King Kutter Incorporated

I must admit that the "Carry All" by KK is pretty poorly made. One of my friends bought one, and had to return it due to a cracked weld... and he barely used it.

King Kutter is a price brand, Kinda like the Walmart of tractor implements. When it comes to driveline components and gearboxes, you get what you pay for.

That sounds like a pretty good price. What size is it and is it used??
A relative of mine has used a KK 5' finish mower behind a 42hp 800 series Ford for the last 8 years to mow about 4 acres. It does a really nice job but that same mower sells at TSC now for like $1350.
The only complaint is that the front guage wheels on the mower want to rub the rear tractor tires if you raise it more than about 18" off the ground. Just a bad combination of tire size and 3-point arm length b/c I have used it in the back of my kubota with no problems.

I have mowed about 20 acres with one for over 12 years. The only problem I've had was when I first bought it and the large nut that held one of the cutters on fell off. I bought a new one and tightened all the rest of the nuts and bolts on the machine and it's been a worker since then.

I purchased a used 5' KK rotary mower 3 years ago for $400. The owner aquired it with a tractor he purchased, however he already owned a rotary mower. He wanted $500, I offered 400It hadnt really seen much use when I picked it up. About a third of the paint has peeled off, however the primer is still intact. Ive beat on it pretty good mowing saplings and rocks. Its probably no Bush Hog, but it seems pretty well made all things considered. I've heard more good things than bad about king kutter equipment. Everyone agrees it is not "professional" grade but for guys like me that arent professional farmers, the cost/benefit ratio can be attractive.
