What do you prefer, deck over or conventional deck

Yeah Its cold in Tallahassee too, getting any rain? Oh and I choose the deck over, with one exception. When I haul the fork lift, the only trailer I will use is the low bed with the wheels as "sides" bad experience with a few drops of rain, a hydraulic leak, a poor angle of truck placement, and a ruined pair of undershorts. It took a really big forklift to pick it up and get it off the fender I can only imagine the out come if I had it up on the big deck over..

Your reply has me laughing, I just (a few months ago ) I coated my deck with motor oil It has all soaked now and I have the color and seems to be Ok.
We had the rain a few days ago. I ordered 600 checks, they sent them to the other home with NO porch, I called and asked about them and they said they were delivered? I said, where, they said orange Park address. I drove 45 miles to see my box of 600 checks totally water soaked from sitting in all the rain.
I called them back and they have a new supply of checks coming to right address now and the others are sitting on heater trying to dry out

They should be fine, they are Harley Davidson checks, I hope
real cold today at this time

Currently I have one of each. For SOME chores, I like the deck-over. Other jobs I prefer the low deck. Both have distinct advantages and DISadvantages. As long as I need 2 trailers, I'm planning on owning both types. When the day comes I no longer need 2 trailers, I'll evaluate my needs and decide which serves my purpose the best.

I only have the conventional and it is fine for nearly everything I need. The only time I wished for a deckover was when hauling bricks/blocks for a masonry project. Due to the fenders, the forklift could not put the skids right over my axles. Obviously, a deckover would not have that problem.

I really prefer the deckover for my use most of the time. 2 of our tractor are too wide to go between the fenders of the low deck. When I bought this gooseneck the other trailer just sat for 3 months or so until a freind needed one and I sold it to him. Of course right after I sold it I needed a low trailer. Oh well, its being used and I'm happy with mine.
