Kind of hard to tell the quality by just the two pictures. What is the price of the JD/Frontier set?

About $1000.

Well, going by just "looks", I like the second set better.

The first one is priced at $600.00. The second one is still at a buck at this time. But the buy it now price is $575 so that is what I am sure the reserve is at.

What about freight adding that to the 575 or 600 and your pretty close to the JD price of a grand. I am not so sure your saving an awful lot for something you can't see or put your hands on. Kind of like a restaurant to me. I like to see the food before I order it.

Well, I agree with both of you. I definitely like the second one better, and I believe you can place an offer price, maybe buying the forks for $500-525. Then you'd have to add freight, $110, totalling $610-635. That's about a $500 savings from the JD forks once you add the tax. These forks also have a lift capacity of 6000#, however my loader is rated at 2600#.
I also have to agree that I'm somewhat skeptical about purchasing an item like this without actually seeing it in person, but looking at the pictures the forks appear well made. Also, the seller's feedback is very high.
Any other opinions?

Edit...I just rechecked the auction and there is no best offer option, so it's a typical eBay auction.

I just bought a JD set for $720 for a 3520. The same set of forks has pins to fit your 4000 series....you should be able to get a good deal from the folks you just gave $27k if they have the forks in stock.

I just rechecked with my dealer and the cheapest forks he has is the 42" fixed forks for $755. I'm needing the 48" fixed forks (model # AL1248FC) and he stated the cost is $975 before tax. Again, I'm needing the lift capacity to be used with the 400CX loader. That's why I'm looking elsewhere other than JD. I'm actually leaning towards the second eBay forks which have a lift capacity of 6000#, even though that total overkill.
