Tractor
Kubota L2800 4wd, FEL
5' Howse shredder, bought it as a package deal with my tractor in '08 but have only used it 2 hours each year so I figured I would sell it rather than it just sitting on the ground wasting away. Only used it to mow a relatives small pasture so the blade looks almost brand new, never used for any type brush hogging.

If I put this on craigslist whats a good price to ask then to actually sell it for?

I would look at others of the same model for sale on Tractorhouse.com for reference.

Edit: I looked... beat up used one for $475, new ones for up to a grand... yours looks nice, I'd ask $600, negotiate to $500, or $450 if they push it...

Those are light duty and become tweaked really easy because they lack torsional rigidity. ... UGLY. Fix afterward is not easy. It is fortunate for you that people dont know this. Yours is in good shape and will sell for more than its worth.

If I really want to sell something so I can have the room, I start at half the price of new and go down from there until it is sold. If I am trying to recoup my losses I start out higher until I get tired of working around it and then go down to half the price of new and start all over with a new ad and pics.

Rule of thumb= $100 per foot all depending on condition.
From the photo posted go for the max, as it is in great condition.

Keep it... it doesn't go bad. Get it off the dirt. Why sell it even if you only use it once and a while... If you had two of them, I can understand... been there, sold one... $450 would be good for buyer and seller, IMO.

Relative I mowed for died and I dont have any pasture land, 100% woods other than a 1/2 acre where the house is and I mow that with the riding mower. Its a good 4-5" from any metal touching the ground.

I'm in the country but still if I won't to get rid of piece equipment I set it by the road 4sale,usually doesn't take long, put a good price and even if someone doesn't need it they will just say to good deal pass up and it's out your yard...
