I have a YM220D. The tach and hour meter work fine. The horn button works.
Besides the ignition switch, the only other factory switch is one that pulls up as well as rotate either left or right.
So basically you have the middle position, or left or right, and then you can pull the whole knob up.
It does nothing.
Now there is another switch, a simple toggle switch that looks aftermarket and controls the lights. It was placed in a knockout hole below the aforementioned multiposition switch.

I am thinking that the multiposition switch WAS the light switch at one time.
Am I right?

My YM2000 doesn't have a horn, but it has a hi/lo pull switch for the headlighs and a switch that goes left/right. I assumed that it was a turn signal but those lights and wiring have been long gone.

Do you have a photo?
On my YM186D there is a horn button, a left, right, pull that controls the rear lights (turn or 2-way flash) and a 2 position pull switch for the headlights.

According to the YM220 service manual the pull and turn switch is a flasher/turn signal combination switch. If you pull the switch your flashers should work. If you turn the switch clockwise, right hand turn signal should work, counter clockwise, left hand turn signal should work. At one time your tractor should have had a pull switch for operating headlights. Just like alvanko's.

Alvanko, does your lower-right idiot light do anything? On my YM186D there's no bulb in that position.

I honestly don't know. I don't remember ever seeing any other then then the charge light and oil pressure light before it starts. It is not labeled.
I hope to never see any of them ever come on except when starting!!

That is just like mine except the pull switch below was replaced with a toggle switch.
Thanks!!!!
